Have you ever heard of Savants?
I often say "we live in an amazing and breathtaking world". Everyday there are numerous opportunities to prove that. Recently I watched a documentary on savant syndrome and thought I might share a few thoughts with you. Savants are people with exceptional mental abilities. And I mean really exceptional. We have learned to cope with teleportation, space travel, enormous size of the universe, UFO's and accepted those amazing things as a normal parts of our lives.

Here is a little review of a new revolutionary web browser called Flock, the social browser. For those who have been around a while and made a transition to Firefox, you'll be interested to hear that Flock is based on same Mozilla foundation like Firefox. For you who missed the Firefox revolution and still use their trustworthy Internet Explorer, never mind, you might have tuned in just in the right moment.

Social Media sites vs Web Directories

When Internet as we know it was in the beginnings, back in 1995-1996, finding information was not as easy as today. Search engines did not have smart algorithms and often information you got was not what you were looking for. Web directories became popular out of pure need. It was easier to find information by going to specific category and then going to an interesting site, then searching for it. Today, we have search engines that provide us with relevant information instantaneously.

This week's cool links have only two entries. But what a revolution they represent! Crayon Physics Deluxe is a game featuring new type of physics engine. It took only 5 days to create because of it's simplicity. And that's the beauty of it. This had good potential to spawn a revolution in way games are made in the future. Songza is a online music player that uses enormous database of youtube videos to find and play the songs you are searching for.
