Humble time

Humble time
I am driving with my friend in a car today and we are discussing this guy who just sold his company for millions. My friend is delighted and a bit envious perhaps as we both know this guy. But my friend does not realize that this guy is near his sixties now. If anything we are in our thirties. And there is nothing more valuable than the time we have. I make a joke that Heffner would probably gladly trade his millions, mansion and everything that comes with it for a chance to be in his thirties.

Microsoft doesn’t care about IE compatibility why should we?

Microsoft doesn’t care about IE compatibility why should we?
Because, quite incredibly, there are so many people still using it. So we are doing this site redesign and inevitably we need to check if the site works correctly in all browsers including the notorious IE6. Of course it doesn't; it breaks the site in half and all kind of weird things happen as one would expect. But our web analytics show that 15% of all visitors to this site still use IE6. And what now? Bummer.

JavaScript Injection Virus Removal How To

JavaScript Injection Virus Removal How To
This is the part II of how to combat the pesky JS injections that are appearing on websites all over the Internet like mushrooms after rain. I am pretty confident that the JS injections initially get into your site through a FTP connection from a trojan infected PC. The details of your server login are sent to the hackers which will use it to access the server later, even after you have removed the injection. The files will keep reappearing until you do something about it.

Page rank update, SEO Doctor success and more

New Page rank update just happened so you may want to check out your sites and see how your previous few months of SEO efforts were judged by Google's algorithm. I am very happy that  SEO Doctor had a very successful launch and good reviews. Thanks everyone who wrote about it and helped spread the word. With more than 6,000 downloads in the starting week I am glad that the SEO knowledge it provides becomes now widely available to more and more webmasters.
