Hi Gilmore,
Clint Black does a version with violin, though it's in country western style, so I'd call it a fiddle. This isn't the subdued version were used to, but a more joyous celebration. It's my personal favorite.

My Aunt Grace recently passed away - a wonderful aunt, mother, wife, grandmother and person. The church sat in complete silence as my cousin's (Grace's daughter's) two sons sang Amazing Grace, a cappella. Coincidentally, and unknowingly, a friend sent me this link the day after the funeral.

Hi there.... VERY new indeed to both Web creation and WP ... got a rough site up for our Church Music Group but am struggling to get a decent theme installed. Being blunt, I can't - for the life of me - see how to do it. The domain is hosted by UGC Creative (my son's business) but I would really like to find out hot to install (your??) theme and be abel to change layoput etc.. Any help advice very much appreciated. I run Linux on my laptop BTW (Linux Mint - variation of Ubunutu) but I do have access to a Windows machine here at home. Sorry if this is a pain but I have got so far now with the site but am now stuck... Thanks and best regards... BTW I assume you personally agree with the writer of the song your theme is named after?? There is a variant on this song Amazing Grace (Chains) in 4/4 time that we use a lot now..... Peter
