I must admit, I am really not very confident when it comes down to coding or working on a template, I understand how to use CSS as I did a lot of front-end cut-ups, but when it comes to PHP I am literally lost.
Anyway, I looked at Blue Grace to update my blog, and I really do like the theme and I imagine with a bit of work I can make it fit as I want it to be.
However, the reason for updating my blog theme is mostly because of the new pingback and comment capabilities. I was looking at the following two sites as I wanted to integrate the pingback / tweetback functionality mentioned there, and I was wondering is Blue Grace 'ready' for this to be done without a lot of hacking (i.e. I just follow the tutorials mentioned on these two sites) or will I require to do more extensive work? http://www.smashingmagazine.co…..wordpress/ http://sivel.net/2008/10/wp-27…..eparation/
Additionally, if you look at my blog (http://www.whatwasithinking.co.uk/) and take any post then you will see the sidebar sits within the main content area and allows the content to expand to the full width after the sidebar ends. My visitors and contributors really like that because the content is easy to follow and makes use of the full page. Is something like that possible as well with Blue Grace?
Blue Grace is made with all WP standards in mind so it should be 'ready' for your hack.
Regarding your second question, it can be possible although it will require more effort. Perhaps you won't need it at all because Blue Grace post area is almost 50% larger then the area on your site's homepage (620px to 440px).
Thank you for your response. With regards to the second question, if you take any of my blog posts (for argument's sake the first one: http://www.whatwasithinking.co…..o-experts/ ) then you will see that the content-space is actually the full width of the blog, flowing around the sidebar.
So in effect, I am wondering if it would be a lot to hack the sidebars on article level to do the same using Blue Grace?
I just wanted to pop in and say "THANKS" for your help, I have pretty much sorted everything out as I wanted it to be and it is looking really good: http://www.whatwasithinking.co.uk/ (including shout-out to your blog of course!)

This is possible you may need one hour to tweak it all.
