Smart Youtube is a fantastic plugin. There's just one problem I've run into. It doesn't display the youtube video where the url is inserted. Instead, it displays the youtube video at the top of the post. So the author's formatting is destroyed.

That's strange. Did you try deactivate other plugins until you found the problem?
