Hi Vladimir,

Great work with the plugin, it looks like a real lifesaver!

Are there any plans to include WordPress's featured images in the next (or premium) version of the plugin?

Cheers,

Xander

Include in what way?

Well, as I understand it, the plugin replaces alt tags and title text for any images that are attached to a post, but it doesn't seem to apply these changes to images that are attached as "featured images" to a post (through wordpress, not via custom fields).

Or is my install of the plugin working incorrectly? Does it already apply alt and title changes to featured images?

Sorry if there's any misunderstanding.

Well, as I understand it, the plugin adds or replaces the alt tags and title of any images that are attached to a post, but this doesn't seem to happen with featured images (I'm talking about wordpress's featured images, not images that are displayed via a custom field)

Or does the plugin alter featured images alt text and titles too, and there's something not working with my installation?

Thanks for your time,

Xander

It will apply alt and text to all kind of images as long as they are part of the_content

How do you display the featured image in your theme?

Hi Vladimir,
I'm displaying the featured images like so:

<?php the_post_thumbnail('single-post-thumbnail'); ?>

this kicks out the following HTML (as an example)

<img width="385" height="250" src="http://example.co.uk/wp-conten….." class="attachment-single-post-thumbnail wp-post-image" alt="4024221198_18a3cdd441_o" title="4024221198_18a3cdd441_o" />

This is being called within the loop, but the image is not being displayed within the_content.

There don't seem to be any changes within the image attachments themselves (when viewed through the wordpress media admin section) although the plugin is working brilliantly when an image is inserted into the post.

Cheers,

Xander

I also need SEO title for featured images very urgently. I am reluctant to delve into your excellent code. Is it possible you will be adding this feature soon? Thank you.

Hi Vladimir,

I am not sure of which theme was talked about about previously, but was wondering if you could help me out
with the similar matter on another theme: if its possible to add "title" and "alt" tags for featured images automatically?
(So that once a featured image is posted, the "title of the picture" would also be the "title" and "alt")

What could be the cost for fixing this matter?

My site is: http://www.jokesie.com

Please let me know

Best wishes from Estonia,
Tom

Ah, the talk was about the plugin.
I have the SEO Friendly Images plugin installed, but it does not add "alt" and "title" for my "Featured images" still.

Is there a way to do so still? You mentioned smth about premium version, could this help?

Looking forward to your reply
Thank you,

Tom
