I run a large site with over 2,200 posts but my PostID #s are in the 15,000+ range because of all the drafts / quick saves. I've noticed since I upgraded to the latest version of SEO Smart links (I forgot where I upgraded from) that I've been having trouble ever since.

Basically words that once linked just stop linking. I could have a post tiled "gPotato" but the word "gPotato" on other posts will NEVER link to it unless I add a custom rule for it. Even though this USED To link on its own, it stopped. To remedy this I have added about 400 custom rules, but I shouldn't need to do this =/. Every week more posts stop linking and I have to add custom rules (eventually I'll do EVERYTHING through the Custom rules area).

I suspect this may have something to do with my large post IDs? Most everything is 1,000+ with some posts in the 16,000 range. This did NOT happen in the older version I used to use. (One of your first few releases).

Vlad, I love your work and I don't want this post to sound like "OMFG! This free plugin isn't working the way it should, I DEMAND service". You've done a lot for the WordPress community and I appreciate your work. I can actually get by using the custom rules, but I'm sure other people out there are having the same problems with SEO Smart Links – which is why I finally decided to post this on here.

I'm on Litespeed (I used to have Apache, but the problem existed back then too, so it's not related to that)
Running WordPress 2.9.x
Using a relatively MYSQL 5 / PHP 5.2

The version you are using is limited to reaching to only 1,500 for performance reasons.

In the new version this limit is adjustable as performance is solved through caching. If you want to try the new beta version just contact me.

Thanks for the clarification Vladimir. I'm sure a bunch of others were pondering this little issue. I manually set a few hundred rules in the Custom area and it works perfectly.

I can wait until the public release – for those having similar issues with SEO Smart links once you have huge Post-Ids – simply set custom rules and you're good to go.

Thanks for all the hard work you've put into developing your plugins!
