Just installed Smart Youtube and it's working fine in the actual posts. Problem is I can't get a preview image to appear on my home page. Can you have a look at http://www.selby-campbell.co.uk/blog/ and you will see a post called 'Test Video'. For normal posts I would select an image for the 'featured image' and this would appear, but where do I get the video preview image from?
Since I upgraded to 3.3.1 the ALL video previews on all my blog pages disappeared – they worked fine before this upgrade. So I uploaded the smart-youtube plugin: it installed fine. However, nothing has changed. I tried using the 'Add media file' version or the new media file feature. I also followed the instructions to add the 'v' to httpv://www.youtube/watch…. etc… NO change. (plugged in the http or the visual pages)… The video file is there, but there is no video preview frame. Also, the 'v' did not work: the file did not convert to a video. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Elizabeth
In the absence of a solution, I've worked around by uploaded a feature image to the post, however now on the home page view the video URL is visible. http://autoblog.johnhughes.com.au/ How do I remove this from the truncated view?
