I'm using the latest version of the plugin and WordPress 3.3
In all my post excerpts, the Youtube URL (httpv: etc) is showing.
I've tried embedding the video as a thumbnail, embedding as a video, not embedding it – no matter what I do, the URL shows up as well. Any ideas why this might be happening? You can see it on this page:
I'm not sure why the link (httpv://www.youtube.com/link to video) is showing; however, I do have a fix. I'm experiencing it on my website as well and when I unlink the link using the broken link button, then update the post, the video displays as it should. I hope this helps!
Yes, but that way you cannot have any links to Youtube videos before your embedded one. For example you cannot have some paragraph before the "httpv://" link in which you want to have some text links to other Youtube videos, because then in the excerpt it will show the first one of them, and no thumbnail of the embedded video also :(

Mine are not pasted as links. The video displays in the post fine, but the "link" shows in the post excerpt, i.e. it shows "http://etc etc" as text, that's not a link but it displays as text.
Anyone got any ideas as to how to stop this happening?

The video URl should not be pasted as a link – you would need to un-link the videos in order form them to be parsed properly.

Mine are not pasted as links either. I've been using Youtube for at least two years. Mine also displays in the post fine, NOT hyperlinked. It shows "httpv:// etc etc.

Sorry if my terminology was misleading. I do not make the Youtube URL a hyperlink. I simply paste it into the post, add the "v" after the http and that's all. Exactly as I have been doing for at least two years.
Here's what it looks like on my home page (if it will post):
I have a similar problem. The httpv:// links are showing up in the e-mails getting sent out to Jetpack e-mail subscribers, and obviously they don't work. Is there a shortcode that can be used instead?

I had difficulty editing my post and lost the link to my page. Here it is:

That's good to know. Unfortunately, I've got over 100 posts with the same problem, so unlinking and updating ever link would be really tedious!
I was rather hoping Vladimir might drop in and offer an explanation.

I'm having the same problem. The first video in each post is showing the link in the excerpt. Very annoying. Was hoping there would be a fix to this.

My playlist is set up as follows: httpvp://www.youtube.com/view_play_list?p=……. and it is not hyper-linked.
On the page, I see exactly this httpvp://www.youtube.com/view_play_list?p=…. not my playlist.
How do I fix this issue?
Thanks

That's a curious problem. I'll need to check Jetpack when I catch some time

Has anyone found a solution to this problem? Or can anyone suggest an alternative to this plugin?
Thanks
