Videos are no longer embedding via RSS feeds – I use Google Reader to subscribe and it can play vids. After the last upgrade rather than getting the video embed I now only get the Smart YouTube produced image thumbnail instead.
I use the function to embed videos in the RSS feed because I repost my articles on another site. However the latest version of Smart YouTube doesn't embed the video in the RSS feed. It will put in the link and thumbnail when those are selected but not the video embed code – new or old.
I tested it with Google Reader and Bloglines and neither showed the embed.
I repost using RSS on OpenSalon and they strip out the IFRAME embed code. I was under the impression if I unchecked the "use IFRAME code" box then Smart YouTube would use the old code but it seems it isn't.
Thought this might be fixed in latest update but not on the change list

Still can't get it to work – videos appear in posts but not in RSS. I noticed this thread and wondered if it was the same problem.

No luck then?

Perhaps it'll help if I point out that I use the shortcode "httpvh" to embed the vids. Is that rare? Do most people just skip the h?

Latest version should work with Google Reader )make sure you uncheck both the link and thumbnail option in the RSS feed settings)

The video is now embeded into the RSS BUT it is using the IFrame tag and I have "Use IFRAME embed code" unchecked.
OpenSalon strips out iframe code so I need to use the old embed code.
Is this fixable by the plugin?
