Love the plugin as it works great on my WAMP version but when I upload to my blog (using the install plugin), I then proceed to view 'Smart Youtube' in the settings panel and I receive this message:
Fatal error: Call to undefined function wp_specialchars() in /home/FOLDERNAME/public_html/FOLDERNAME/wp-content/plugins/smart-youtube/smartyoutube.class.php on line 157
Any ideas?
This is my first theme I did from scratch so maybe I have done something wrong…and It is still only WordPress version 2.9 and I am using latest SmartYoutube so don't know if this is a problem also.

Try reinstalling your WordPress, and using Smart Youtube with the default theme on the live blog to see if that works.
