Thanks for the plugin – very nice. It works well for me, although I have an issue – the plugin didn't show a gif – no problem, I re-did the image as a png. The archives refuse to show the new thumbnail. I thought perhaps if I changed the copy in snazzy-archives.php (“So far so good!”) the change might show me if or where things were changing (or should be changed).
No change. No new thumbnail, no new copy. I tried ctrl-f5, I looked on a different computer – nothing appears to have changed. I checked with ffox and iexplorer. Strangely, iexplorer found the png image.
I thought it might be some cache issue, but when I checked on the other computer (on a different ISP) and things were the same I was thinking perhaps there's some database refreshing required. Could that be a possible solution, and, if so, how do I do that?
I've just noted there's a related error – when I use iexplorer the title line at the top of the page states 'Cannot find server' which is kind of unexpected because the page is served, complete with the thumbnail 'missing' in ffox. See how the page looks for you at getgoingonline.net.
Despite the issues, I really like how the page displays in general.
I've managed to resolve the 'Cannot find server' issue with the SEO plugin – no sensible explanation as to what was the cause (perhaps iexplorer makes the impossible seem commonplace). The 'missing' image, and text not changing remain unresolved for the moment. Stay tuned…
Firefox is very lazy when it comes to clearing it's cache and I would say that is the only problem you have. Try your friend's firefox and let me know what happens.
I deleted the plugin, cleared the browser(s) caches, down+uploaded and installed a sparkling fresh version of the plugin. I massaged and re-uploaded the images in question and double checked for things like removing spaces in directory names. Finally, when I'd done all I could think of I fired up the plugin, and everything just worked as it should. Thanks, Vladimir, I don't think it was a caching issue, given that if I changed the layout/corners any change was apparent. I think there may've been some issue in the original upload, the images themselves might've been buggy when converted from gifs to pngs, who knows – who cares – it works. Now off to tweak the styling and the job's done. Thanks again.
