just setting up the WP site; theme chosen has some widgets automatically showing up to far right, and at top of the site. I'd like to clean that up, though don't see any place to remove them. I've already gone into the widget section, and placed the single widget "Testimonials", that I do desire, into the section, and saved/updated. It's not showing up, and all of the other widgets that I've moved to 'inactive' still show. I've gotten out of the site and re-entered too. What else can I do to clean this up, and get rid of or hide the things, like a calendar, that I don't wish to have showing on the opening page?
Oh, also, I saved my picture in the section for that, though the thumbnail isn't showing up. How do I change that too?
