This summer I visited beautiful Greek island of Thassos. It was my first visit to Greece and I was very pleasantly surprised. The true gem of the visit was finding a place called Giola. These are the pictures I took there.

Beautiful pictures of Giola, Thassos
As you can see it is a beautiful natural lagoon, like a swimming pool carved into the rocks. Water is little bit warmer then outside sea which makes it extremely pleasant to swim in. Not many people know about it and it is extremely hard to get to.
Here is a video I made at the location.

hey there,
this year we`ve been to thassos for the first time.
of course we had to try to find this beatiful lagoon. we made it at the second try :)
and it was really amazing, it's worth going there. unfortunately, approx. 20 other people had the same idea that day, so it was pretty crowded. but nevertheless, this is really a place you should go to on your thassos holiday!
thanks,nice pictuers.

HI VLADIMIR! FROM WERE ARE YOU? I AM FROM GREECE AND THIS SUMMER I WILL GO TO THASSOS. SORRY FOR MY ENGLISH..
the clip ia awesome, and the water looks great!
God gave us really wonderful places in this planet!
Hi Philip,
It is nearly impossible to describe where Giola is. That's a good side to it, because very few people can find it and usually you can enjoy privacy while you are there. Your best guess is to ask someone in Potos to give you directions. Roughly, when you go from Potos to the east, around 5-7 km on the road you have to take a turn right on a dirt road, go as long as you can on it, then leave your car and walk around 500m towards the sea. Somewhere within the rocks Giola is hidden.
i forgot my e-mail bajab@hot.pl or maredz@hot.pl or keen_on_planes@o2.pl
Hallo can you explain where Giola exactly is?
i'm going to visit thassos this summer giola is absolutely fabulous maybe could you say near witch town or village is it? thank you very much
I am glad that is so, although sometimes I get in a dark and pessimistic mood. Trying to cut on that, promise.
I enjoy reading your blog! :)
Adrian, do you offer some free accommodation in return for advertising on my blog? :)
if you want to find a beautiful accomodation on the thassos island come on thassos.us website
When you go from Potos east, about 10km. It's hard to explain get a local guy to describe it for you.
Brilliant Photos - Going to Thassos next summer where on the island is it?
Wow. That is definitely somewhere I"m going to have to visit 100%. Also you have a real talent with photography.
It is 3-4 degrees warmer then the outside sea temperature. So 25-28 degrees. Makes you want never go out :)
That's awesome, I'm going to have to visit there. Never seen anything quite like it before. Also how warm are we talking?
Great layout, I'll be back :)
Thanks for support, it means a lot!
im beginning to like this blog.
