Today I am going to write something about being rich in a wealthy sense. I am one of those people with "rich" imagination, and I often find myself wondering and pondering in that direction. Here is what I come up with on those journeys.
Most of the people I know ask themselves this obvious question - how to become rich? While this is certainly something to ponder about and an often brought out topic around any table, I think this is the wrong question to ask. The real question should be how to be rich? Bare with me.
Let's face it, if you want to get rich there is literally nothing stopping you other then your own will to do so. Books have been written on the matter, everyone talks about it and it's true. Being rich is easy just like riding a bicycle, and hundreds of thousands of millioners in the world prove it. On average they are not much smarter then the rest of the population, if having brains is what you thought takes to be rich. No, they are only more persistent and more willing to be rich then others (I wrote more about the topic in Quest for Financial Freedom and Personal Financial Statement).
If you still haven't decided to become rich, the power of imagination can easily give you the moment. You can imagine you are the richest person in the world. Richer than Bill Gates or the Sultan of Brunei. You have so much money you do not know what to do with it. And while dreaming about it, the joy usually lasts very short. Usually it very quickly becomes a feeling that I can best describe as sadness. A state of emotional emptiness because all your wishes, all your dreams, all the exotic houses and beautiful yachts now belong to you. There is nothing that motivates you to go further.
And this happens to a lot of really rich guys. What this turns to is often not very pretty. There is a brilliant saying that goes like this: "Idle hands are a devil's playground". You know what rich people usually do and why rest of the world usually do not like them.
The problem is most of the rich people do not know how to be rich. And what being rich is really about. A God's gift of money that should be used for changing the world for a better place. A lot of rich people fail to realize this.

I often see scenes in life that make my heart weep. Museums with priceless history inside, rotting, the employers receiving minimum wage while giving their whole hearts and lives in. And the city's mayor for a few years earns millions. One percentage of the money would help the museum shine, and make the world a better place. But no. This is rarely seen, if at all. Young competent people selling eggs in front of a store on freezing winter, because they are unemployed and need to feed their families. I often think that man could plant trees on miles of territory in proper hands, yet he fell down to selling eggs for couple of cents of profit.
Who can teach the rich how to be rich? Who will? I do not know. I am not sure the present rich can be changed. And this is the conclusion I always make. We, you and I need to become rich before it is too late for this world. We need to use the riches to enrichen the world not only ourselves. The wealth should be used to bring joy to us but others as well, equally important.

ellow...! how to be rich? in many, the answer is obvious, to have more money. I want to share something in your mind. Money is not to make you rich, but it makes you a kind of person once you have it. Money is use in our modern social economic system, so neither worship or denounce it. Money is held in proper perspective so that one will not sacrifice once moral and ethical standard
just to obtain it.
Each of us decide the quality of our own lives, look at your life and decide what you want to do with it now, never be satisfied of what happened yesterday, use your abilities to grow and keep growing with all your great potential. Found no reason not to be rich...!!!
I only want to say that nobody is poor, as long as you know how to use the means available to you, victory is yours. thank you.....

Actually, I thought from the title that you were going to deal with strategies and tricks to follow in order to be a rich man. But after a thorough reading, I seem to understand the real meaning behind being rich. Let's first agree on the fact that human beings are generally out of breath in a non-stop running behind wealth since they believe it is the major source of happiness and prosperity. However, in their race, people do not go far from satisfying the individual needs and desires without thinking of the rest who equally have the same right to be rich. In fact , this is a very natural conduct if we refer it to the human being's nature that is originally characterized by selfishness and even narcissism. But the question that worth asking is how to promote ourselves from a primitive conduct to a more civilized one. The answer to this question is not as easy as many expect. A whole personality formation goes into the core of defining our attitudes and behaviours. For this reason, you could expect a man brought up into a conventional family based on solidarity likely to accept giving a hand to others and paving their way for affluence.

The question on how to become rich always rely on what are the things that we see as treasures. there are lot of riches out there. Even though you have a big house and lots of properties, you may not know that your neighbor is richer than you are. You may have all the riches in the world but you have no one that cares for you, and you are deprived of love. there are many things that are far more important. As what the "Little Prince" have said: "What is essential is invisible to the eye".

This life is just a short journey, soon we will leave this world and take nothing with us except our soul, life is sweet and simple why we need to be greed, why not help others who's in need...why not help others who's in less opportunities, lots of people were hungry in South Africa, some children were abandoned, some eldest were neglected and abandoned by their families...why some are greedy...? spread the virus of kindness! this piece is an appeal to all rich & richest....listen to u'r heart! happiness is not just money....

Excellente way of thinking. I always asked myself: "there are people that are so rich, that they will never be able to spend all they have, not even if they lived a thousand lives!...so why all the greed? They will also die, and with them they will take nothing!
I to live dreaming of being rich, but if being rich means to be selfish and not do nothing to help others...I prefer to stay as I am.
