'I want to try this whole Internet thing everyone is talking about. How do I get started ?' - I got asked this question by friends over and over again.
I have a ready answer so I thought I should put it down on paper.
- Read How I Made a Successful Website in only 4 months a booklet by Randy Brown. Easy to follow information, my all time favorite first read about starting with Internet marketing.
- Check out Thirty Day Challenge - Very informative, loaded with information, so be prepared to spend a lot of time there.
- Get into the right mindset. Read some good books about understanding money handling skills. 'Richest Man in Babylon' and 'Rich dad, poor dad' come to mind.
- Listen to this interview. It's between two successful Internet marketeers and helps understand the proper mindset. Disregard all other marketing talk and hype for now ;)
- And most important of all - Stop reading, start doing!

Very very good stuff you shared there, I like your last point. Stop reading and start doing. In the beginning, it was easy reading about other people's success story and you'd think it's easy to do what they do. In reality there's bumps and roadblocks you gotta face yourself. Outsourcing can be one way, but most can be learned fairly easy if you just dedicate some time.
It is also apparently the hardest step. It is funny to see so many that know everything about 'personal development' these days but haven't practiced any of the tips they have been reading :)
Vladimir, thanks for the sweet internal linking plugin first of all. And second, the best way to make money is by making mistakes! You just gotta do and see what you did wrong and then fix it. Don't pay attention to all the crazy SEO theories, some are true and most aren't.
top reading and start doing is the best one. If you have no money you can start with a free Blogger account to get your feet wet. As you begin to make money, invest back in your business first. Get a website and hosting account ($10 to $20/mo.). Many these days offer practically unlimited hosting packages. You can get domains for about $10/yr.
Rocky,
At least try to spin the comment instead of just copying them verbatim. My goodness.
