I finally laid my hands on one of the most desired laptops of today, the Lenovo Thinkpad X301.

That put an end on my dilemma about perfect web developer laptop, and I am so glad I have decided to stick with tradition of Thinkpads.
X301 is not only a perfect web developer's companion, it is also a perfect laptop for internet entrepreneurs and businessmen on the move. Did I mention that if your main work is any of WordPress, SEO or Website Optimization it's perfect too?
After things settled (meaning I tweaked every possible option), I wrote my first impressions about it in this x301 review published on Geek With Laptop.
Twitter thing
I had a lengthy discussion last night with a friend who also happens to be a social media guru, which ended in that I really need to start using Twitter :)
I resisted it for a very long time, and just like I resisted mobile phones when they first came out, it eventually became a necessity. The hard part will be I guess making it useful and avoid getting addicted.
So for all of you interested in following me on Twitter you can do so by going here twitter.com/vprelovac.

Hi! My name is

I started using Twitter about 2 months ago. Followed some key people in the Social Media, business and tech interests. Interesting to use, but you can waste a huge amount of time following and chatting with everyone you come across. After 2 months of daily use, I had to cut it back to every few days. There are a few peeps I follow that post every few minutes every day! Why?
People claim you can use it to market your brand, but how much time do you have to spend chatting with 250 followers? ;-) Moderation...moderation.
twitter is a little overhyped. being a newbie at social media, i don't understand the pros it holds. ;) might be good, but i doubt that strongly
Welcome to Twitter, looking forward to twitting with ya!

Wow, finally...it was about time, Vladimir! Having got a possession of a new fresh & crispy Lenovo laptop and not being on Twitter these days ??? Could be anything worse than that in 2009? I think not!
Welcome to Twitter! (and don't forget to check up your Twitter account at least a few times per day...until you'll get fully addicted to it, mate :)

I am with Bram on this one, I still have yet to see the use of letting someone know I have just flushed the toilet, but I am still young and my ears all always open so please do check back and enlighten me Obi Wan.
My favorite line of laptops are ThinkPads by far. I'm currently using a T60, before that had a T43, before that a T41,...and so on. :)
Sadly, my company (a university in my case) has switched to Dell, so later this month I should be receiving a Dell Latitude model which has been all right in the past, but I never liked its bulkiness and design when compared to IBM (now Lenovo) laptops. Luckily, I should be getting an E-series which looks much better and is a vast improvement over previous D-series line.
Welcome to twitter, now get ready to waste countless hours in that micro venue. :)
Be mindful of the living Force, my young Padawan. You will learn with time :)
My HP nx6125 still serves ;) but this is not so bad
It comes to what you really use it for. Yes facebook can be time consuming if you use it as a dating site. But staying in touch with old friends and having all contacts in one place is what it is perfect for (log in only when you have to).
I guess same can be applied to twitter. If you indeed plan to use it to tell the whole world you are having a coffee it becomes totally useless. But rest assured that's not what I intend to do :)
I tend to hold back on some hyped web 2.0 technologies like blogging, twitter, social networking sites, etc..
Simply because I really don't see a point in keeping the whole world up to date everytime you drink a cup of coffee.
I've already given in to the blogging thing but I'm still reluctant towards things like twitter, facebook, netlog, etc.. Mostly because they are so timeconsuming without being really rewarding.
I'm looking forward to your experiences with twitter :)
