Shame on me, I know, that it all took so long.
Recently I begun to listen to Jimi Hendrix like crazy. He is the guitar God, father of all that is modern rock.
This song in particular is my favorite. It shows a lot of music emotion. Watch him play it (and casually chew gum between lines
). He was 20 years ahead of his time - what a guy.
Of course he is now also on my best guitar tunes list.

Thanks Storm very nice comment. I’ll be visiting your site now when I know of it - some very cool lessons there! When can we expect some Pink Floyd there?

You have great taste in guitarists in addition to your mad programming skills! I had to comment once I saw Hendrix (best guitarist - all time, IMO) mentioned in your blog. I have read for awhile. In fact, I searched for ‘wordpress guitar’ when I was debating the switch to WP for my website (GuitarTeacher.com) and you came up first. I have read for the past couple of months and used Amazing Grace for my first WP version of the site. No looking back now and you have provided help and inspiration for me in that endeavor.
Glad to hear you are still pursuing guitar playing. If I can help you further your playing in anyway I would be happy to. I am still a hack in WP but have skills on guitar and as a guitar teacher!

I saw Jimi play at an outdoor concert by the sea in Ventura, California back in the late 60’s, when I was a teenager. Yes, psychedelic drugs were consumed. My favorite Hendrix tune is still “Little Wing” and has since been covered by such greats as Derek and the Dominoes, Eric Clapton, Stevie Ray Vaughn, and John Mayer. You can watch their versions on YouTube. Rock on, Vlad.

I love good old Jimi. He was one of my inspirations for learning how to play guitar.
Might I also add, his stuffwas very hard to play. I guess his originality and passion really fueled everything he did.

Random Trivia: Did you know that when he started he played a right-handed guitar upside down as he could not find a left-handed one?
My first ever audio cassette (4 track) was Jimi Hendrix - Are you Experienced? I was 13. I saved for 3 months to get the money to buy that tape (still have it somewhere). I cried when he died.
Thanks for sharing Vladimir.
