I just came back from the cinema and am still under impressions. You know how they tend to be vivid just after you watched the movie that really excited you. This is hands down best US movie of 2007 that I have seen.
It just came after I wrote a post on global awareness in "Life is beautiful virus" story. This is story about war and how messed things get to young man sent to it. It is also a story about father and son and growing up in discipline and tradition. And the most powerful message was hanging the American flag upside down at the end of the movie, which is an international call for distress used for "save us we can not help ourselves".
And as a movie I find it very precise, artistic and good at telling a story. So there is hope for Hollywood after all. If you are looking for quality this is the movie to carefully watch.

I just saw this movie two nights ago, and agree; it's quite good.
Yeah, right, get real will ya? All devoted kitty lovers are aware that felines are far too self-centred, hedonistic and bone idle to even strap on the bomb... so forget trying to convince one to lay down its life for your cause. A cat is interested primarily in 'feed me', 'stroke me', and 'push off and let me snooze'. And there's no way you'll get them to wear that head gear beyond the snapshot being taken;-D
