I needed a list of Page Rank 9 and 8 sites for research so I thought it was a valuable information to share once I gathered it.
It is not a final list so any suggestions are welcome.
I also started creating a list of PR10 sites, but once I've seen cnn.com has been given ultimate trust I kind of lost my will.
The list is updated on July 10th, 2009.

Useful , excellent information, thank you
hourdesign
2/22
You can add http://www.flashpageflip.com/ to PageRank 8
I understand backlinks...ie how they work...but how do you get backlinks from these sites...Kenney
the list is stable Ithink. cause of Pr9 . google never update this list!
Merci beaucoup pour tres bien travail :)
Great list of sites! I will try these and see what becomes of it
is it possible to get backlinks from this website ?
You missed out webwizguide.com from your list of PR 8 websites.
Thanks for the list. I will come back when I find some 8's or 9's you have noted the ones that I am aware of.
PS
Thanks for this, however, one problem I have with these sites is that only the homepage of every site is high ranked. Your links are on an inner page which is much less ranked, if at all. This brings the question if it's beneficial at all for your site, unless you do over 16 803 links on PR1 websites. You only need three PR6 backlinks or 1 PR7 backlink to get a PR5. Has anyone received close to this with linking on any of these websites?
Thank you for the list of urls. Badly need to increase my ranking on Google.
thanks for the list! really appreciate this!! keep up the good work with everything.
You can add mit.edu to the list of PR 9's
Thanks, I got quite a bit of backlinks from a lot of these sites.
Thanks for the very helpful list, but how could I get at least a pr5
Has anyone got a backlink from any of these sites?
I've been researching and learning everything I can about getting backlinks from colleges. One way is to contribute to the colleges marketing department. Good luck all!
Thanks for the list very helpfull.Great blog.
Thnx for sharing nice resource.

I think my website never will be so popular:)

best list.. thanks for sharing very helpfull..
i will visit it again
Good list, but it not full. About 100 other sites have PR8-9 too.
how about Remi Turcotte ask?? thats 'From which of them you can insert a text link ?'
im waiting
Nice info Tony :)
Hi,
Did you know that Redhat have a magazine where it is possible to comment on the articles :-)
cheers
Tony
if i culd get link from one of theme ; ) maybe someday..
http://www.iit.edu is an 8. They have no idea of the power of their link juice. They rank on a sub-page for the term "smile"
This list is interesting, and it would be great to get a "dofollow" link from any of these sites, but a more realistic goal for link building would be to focus on getting "dofollow" links within relative content, on relative sites, regardless of how high their PageRank might be.
From which of them you can insert a text link ?
You could submit content to some of these websites and get a non-nofollow'ed PR link bank. Like an addon to mozilla? Surely atleast one of these site will allow that?
I'll go do that right now - I'll get several, while I'm at it. ;-)
How about getting a link from one of them ? :)
Basically, in this instance, it serves as a reminder that we mere mortals are probably never going to have a PR of 8 or 9. ;-)
Vladimir - I have to confess, I didn't believe CNN had a 10 until I just went and doublechecked. I agree, it's...disheartening.
PR means page rank? how is this information useful to someone?
PR is only visible for SEO.It considered as a factor on SEO having a high PR means the site has a good content and a tons of backlinks. It is also considered as a trust rank. The importance of PR is for buying or selling your domain link and link exchanging.
