Insights Plugin features Flickr, Youtube, Google.. All in one!

Today I am announcing two new WordPress plugins I have been busy with lately. They both carry a pretty special personal note to a blog.

First one is called WP Figlet and basically what it does is allow you to draw ASCII Art. Like this:

[ascii font="straight.flf" ]WordPress Rocks![/ascii]

Now this is and isn't cool (I guess it depends what year you were born) but I thought there is something that can be made out of it.

You can use ASCII art to say a personal message about your site. Or it can say an advertisement. In my case it is announcing that this blog is home of a WordPress developer. I think adding ASCII art to your page header is a pretty useful thing.

This can be especially true for web design or development sites or if your site just plain rocks, as often people like to take a look at the page source to see how was something done or what plugins were used. This ads just a little extra touch of coolness that might persuade them to actually give you that call. Of course there are ton's of fonts and you can customize is the way you want. What do you think?

Insights for WordPress

The second plugin is simply called Insights. I believe this plugin will change the WordPress blogging world forever.

I have been using it for a week now and I just can not imagine anymore my WordPress site without it. It is just amazingly useful. And I am not just exaggerating.

It is made out of various modules that dramatically speed the time for basic actions. Like for example finding and adding a picture to decorate a post:

That took 5 seconds to do.

Or I want to show you were I live:

Well that took 20 seconds, I never left the post screen. And there is much more.

The both will be released on Monday, so stay tuned.

Update: Plugins are released! Go get them -->

And yikes I almost forgot, vote for your favorite WordPress plugin of mine, that you think is in need of further development. The new poll is in the sidebar, courtesy of a very cool WP Polls plugin.

    Hello Kat,

Thank you very much for your consideration. I have quite good life on my own, so I would recommend you to visit http://www.networkforgood.org/ and pick a charity of your choice. That would be money much better spent.

    Vladimir,
Your theme and plugins are the BEST. I'm getting so much value (and WordPress education!) out of using them that I'd like to make a donation. Definitely would not be as much as you desire, but at least a little something to show you my appreciation. I don't see a donation button, so how can I make one?

    Kat
