Finally there is an official guide for all people who are new to SEO and ask the question "How do I start?". Google SEO Starter Guide has just been released and is Google's own answer to all SEO beginners, but also for battle-hardened SEO veterans to be reminded of basic working principles of SEO.
Good job Google on releasing that one!

Great guide for beginners. Any translations of the original PDF arround? I would like to have a french translation (for my wife, her english is not good enough). -:)

It's very useful and should hopefully help most people get their sites/blogs in order. If everyone would adhere to these recommendations the search would become more efficient as well as it would improve the overall browsing experience by allowing people to find what they are looking for much faster.
