Stanford Guidelines for Website Credibility

The guys at Stanford university have put together guidelines for a website to follow in order to achieve maximum credibility with the users. Credibility itself is more important then any amount of search engine optimization or other tricks you may have. Adobe.com never run an internet SEO campaign yet they are one of the most credible sites on the internet (and best ranked too). In other words credibility equals ranking.

We all know how google or ebay pages look like now. Did you ever wonder how did the famous web sites look their first day online? With a little help of archive.org we are able to recreate these magical moments. Images are clickable and will take you to the actual site remembered by archive.org. Google.com, November 11, 1998We can see that the logo was pretty much the same, and they had 25 million pages indexed. For that time that was very good.

How does the  brain work is still one of most intriguing unresolved mysteries of science.  Here is one practical test that will show you just how amazing and hard it is to evaluate how does the brain work. You need to look at the animation and tell if you see the dancer turning clockwise or anti-clockwise. You may think that it is clear that is is turning only way way. It turns out that different people have different perception of what is really happening.
