My First Parachactue Jump Video

When they find out I've jumped from 4,000 meters a lot of people asks me how was it. I always tell them it is something that can not be described.

I have entire video footage of the event and I decided to put it online. The happening took place in Austria, courtesy of mr. Kapl who is an experienced jumper. I was there on a trip with three friends and eventually he convinced us it's something we should not miss. We opted for tandem jump in which you jump attached to an instructor. It is the safest and quickest way to fly.

All four of us jumped and I was the first.. Watch how it happened.

Fun video to watch. I can imagine feeling totally different after the chute opened. From being sick in the plane to being euphoric after the chute opened. Or maybe even before then. You looked pretty happy once you were falling through space. Maybe it's just the jumping part that's difficult.
I am trying out your theme by the way. I need to do better with SEO. Plus it looks really cool. This is NewsLink Briefs my little side job http://newslinkbriefs.com/. I did make the tags open up the entire post when they are clicked on.
Vlad you are the second person I know who has done this. Check out Helena's Blog http://helenap.wordpress.com/. She did it with an instructor too and wrote about it. It's about four posts back and the url is pretty long so I won't put it here.

    Once young and foolish, always...

Seriously, if you decide to jump there are only few things that can beat the feeling.

Looking forward to your video ;)

WOW!!! You rocked it!!! I thought about skydiving almost 13 years ago when I was young and foolish...I'm 34 now and you have given me the courage to think about doing it again.

    Thanks Vladimir

I wish you a great time and should you decide to do this just enjoy those 45 seconds of free flight as much as you can. It tends to pass quickly and most people decides not to do it again, so pay attention ;)

Let me know how it went. Cheers!

This looks like a lot of fun and is a very serendipitous post. My 18 year old daughter and I are going on a camping trip to Arches National Park in Utah during the second week of April. This is one of the things I have promised her she could do. I don't know yet if I will do it or not. We are also going on a guided rock climbing/rappelling trip in the area as well. I have been to Arches before just for hiking and photography, but this will be an altogether different sort of trip. I will absolutely be posting on my website about this when we get back, if not before. Wahoo!
