For years, I dreamt about situations in which I could freely and effortlessly jump around buildings and parking lots. These dreams were so vivid, they felt real. i remember feeling the adrenaline rush even deeply asleep, and the great positive effect the skill had on me.

Parkour #02

Seems I was not the only one and people started something that will become known as parkour.  "Parkour is an activity with the aim of moving from one point to another as efficiently and quickly as possible, using principally the abilities of the human body".

This video just gave me free-movement rush again, and the urge to write this. Anyone practicing parkour over thirty? :)

Yes there is - David Belle the founder of parkour. He is 36. Have a look.

    Hi Vlad,

I just noticed I can't view your YouTube videos inside IE7, nor can I on my own site - which is using the Amazing Grace theme, too. But I *can* view them on YouTube... ?!? Though you might want to know.

    Any idea why?

Some of these guys also call themselves "urban ninjas". There's lots of great videos on YouTube if you search for that.

Yes I remember the scene from casino royale. It's what gave the movie 'the rush'.

    Thanks for sharing the info!

You may have noticed Parkour in Casino Royale. Sébastien Foucan played the bomb maker in the opening scene, he created Parkour along with David Belle.

The first Free Running championships were held 3rd September 2008.

You'll also find David Belle as the lead role in Banlieue 13.

Plenty of people over 30 are training right now, David Belle is 36 I believe. Check it out, you'd love it!
