Thank you very much for sharing the financial statement example as well as the sample Excel spreadsheet. For the past several weeks, I've searching for one on the Internet and none was simplied and easy as yours. Your article was well written and the analogy to sking that financial literacy like any other activity is a learnable skill.

I am also trying to get out of the rat race myself (desperately), and vowed to start learning and reading about investments in 2010.

Thanks for helping others and sharing information.
