When you think you know absolutely everything about SEO for WordPress, you are at a stage when you are ready to meet Vladimir. He will have an absolute ‘Cold Shower’ effect on you. The way Vladimir thinks about SEO is on his own unique level. It actually takes time to grasp it, so just try to remember everything he says first. You will get the meaning of it in the days to come.

After about a year of working together, I finally got a chance to meet Vladimir in his own ‘Environment’. It’s the palace all the readers of his blog are by this stage fairly familiar with. It is a small village Bol on the island Brac on Croatian Coast. A place is a haven really. I remember meeting Vladimir the first time last summer, and having a few drinks on probably the nicest beach in the world, and we spoke about SEO for hours.

What I learned that day was priceless. Vladimir is so inspirational that he manages to get yourself thinking on the level you have not been aware you could before. The phrase ‘Think outside of the box’, again gets a completely new meaning. You feel like you finally understand it truly.

My funniest anecdote in working with Vladimir was one late evening last winter. I remember describing him a tool that would dynamically calculate a value of a blog based on the number of parameters. We were usually typing like mad during our conversations. When I finished my explanation, he just casually asked me: ‘Like that?’, and the URL popped up in the instant messenger on my screen. I clicked it, and the tool I was describing was there. It was ugly, and black and white, but it calculated all the parameters correctly right there and then.

I picked Vladimir's Blue Grace theme because a) it was clean and professional, b) came with a suite of great plug-ins, and c) I figured Vladimir could consult if I ran into difficulty or wanted to customize. I've now been live since January 1, 2009 and I couldn't be happier with my decision.

For those of you considering Vladimir for Wordpress customizing, it was an efficient and professional relationship. I'm in the US and wondered how well we'd communicate and how the financial arrangement would work. We worked in English by email and Skype audio. Payment was by Paypal. Easy.

Our workflow might be instructive to you:
    1. I installed Wordpress and Blue Grace with my service provider. I spent a week or two getting familiar with WP and blue grace. With my HTML and limited CSS skills, I made a few tweaks myself. (PHP is baffling to me.)
    2. I then made up a long wish list of things I wanted to change or add to the site. I sent an introductory email with the list and a sense of my budget to Vladimir.
    3. V responded by email letting me know which items were easy and cheap, and which might be harder and more expensive. We settled on a list that could be done for my budget. It was a lot of customizing and I feel I got a lot for my money.
    4. I then sent V an annotated storyboard laying out the site as I wanted it to appear. I added my notes and comments in the margins. The storyboard was somewhat rough and informal, but it was thorough. This detail proved to be crucial.
    5. V sent me a list of things to do before he began. Like setting up a Feedburner account and sending user names and passwords.
    6. Vladimir and I then held an interactive phone meeting via Skype. The easy things he re-programmed and updated right on my WP site. When I refreshed my browser, I could see the changes and give him instant feedback: "Let's make the font bold" -- that kind of thing.
    7. Other items V did later and emailed me when they were done.
    8. We then went through a short punch list process to debug and correct omissions.
    9. We stuck to the budget and payment via Paypal was simple.

Two final comments: V is a programmer and implementer, not a coach or marketer. The process will go well if you meet him halfway by doing your homework, studying other blogs, and being clear about what you need or what technical questions you need answered. Don't waste his time or your money.

I hope these notes are helpful. All and all, a terrific experience. Best of luck with your blog project!

  3. Alfonse Pagano 02.01.09 / 7pm

My being a complete novice regarding SEO and wordpress as much as I needed help I was rather reluctant to pay anyone to help me as there are many out there that profess expertise but do not really deliver.

I decided to take a chance with Vladimir and am happy to say he came through for me. His help and evaluation was timely, He helped to configure plugins that I did not fully understand, He gave me clear and easy to understand advise and directions. I now can continue to do what I was doing with the confidence that I am doing it correctly.

    Thank You Vladimir

Vladimir is professional and extremely knowledgeable about Wordpress. When I enlisted his assistance with my first Wordpress site, thoroughly confused and frustrated that I was in over my head, he responded quickly with assurance that he could assist. He solved my issues in a timely manner, as promised, and was very patient with my questions and requests.

In this field where web programmers can often leave you hanging for weeks, it is refreshing to work with someone who does as promised and with such obvious qualifications. I will not hesitate to enlist Vladimir's help on the next Wordpress project, though from the very beginning next time!

  5. Ryan Eanes 10.04.08 / 3am

Vladimir's excellent WP-Wall plugin for WordPress was exactly what one of my clients wanted for his site, and when he asked for custom tweaks made to the software, Vladimir was happy to help.

In just a couple of days he had made all the changes we requested, and his prices were extremely reasonable. We're both very happy with the service that he provided us.

  6. Dustin Morris 09.06.08 / 9pm

Vladimir has played a vital part in helping customize virtually every part of our Wordpress theme. From tedious CSS manipulation to custom plugin integration, he was always prompt and professional.

On top of getting the job done, he has continued to provide excellent customer support. I would highly recommend his assistance to any person who is serious about using Wordpress professionally. You are a life saver!

  7. Laurent DUREAU 08.21.08 / 5am

I needed a special feature which did not exist yet on the market. No plugin available and apparently no one asking for. So I asked Vladimir to develop it in the simplest way possible without necessarily making a plugin.
I wanted the simplest and the most upgradable solution which was demanding almost no knowledge about computer and programming.
Vladimir found one of the most relevant solution to my problem and from the first trial, it works perfectly.
I encourage largely bloggers to ask Vladimir because it is the rignt guy for the right solution.

  8. Ben Welch-Bolen 06.18.08 / 3pm

Vladimir was quick, efficient, and able to understand what we needed changed. It only took him an hour to create a plugin for something I had been working for the last 12. Highly recommend him for anything WordPress related - Bweeb Inc

  9. Peter 05.30.08 / 1am

I had a very serious problem, a difficult set-up where I was using Google Apps email with one of key Wordpress sites; but I just couldn't get both my contact forms and site registration email to work properly. Vladimir solved the problem quickly, and efficiently.

Also, I was impressed with his manner and professionalism. My sincere thanks to Vladimir, and I intend to engage his services again for future developments.

    Kindest regards
    Peter

  10. Sean Dungan 05.24.08 / 5pm

Brilliant, thorough and well-explained. Vladimir knows Wordpress inside and out, and he went through my site with a fine-toothed comb, tuning up what needed tuning, and suggesting a bunch of ways to make things more efficient, faster and more search-engine-friendly. He walked me through everything, and, with the help of a Skype chat, it was like we were at the same table. His final report is impressive and worthy of framing. My only regret is the fact that I can't shake his hand.

I'll be recommending his services to anyone who might need them.

  11. David Toms 05.12.08 / 6pm

Vladimir was a great help to me and it was just like he was in the same room once he introduced me to Skype and free long distance calls. With his help we then went over my blogs and improved them greatly. I feel much more confident installing plugins since he showed me some new techniques.

Vladimir is a patient guy and no question is too simple or too complicated for him to answer. It's all important and we got it done.

  12. Jim Musselwhite 05.11.08 / 8pm

I needed a high level of RSS feed automation integrated into my existing site. Vladimir thoroughly answered my questions prior to beginning the project, which gave me a high level of confidence that his approach to the problem was sound. I also asked Vladimir to upgrade my entire site (with many plugins) to Wordpress 2.5.1 which he did with a high degree of caution. I am thrilled with the results.

Furthermore, Vladimir stepped me through the entire upgrade process and RSS feed automation setup process. After completion, he followed up with me several times to ensure that things were going well.

When I need new functions or upgrades to Wordpress, I will not hesitate to contact Vladimir for assistance.
