I am announcing Snazzy Archives, plugin specially developed to display WordPress archives in a unique visual way. The idea comes from this page and people from a popular microblogging platform Tumblr have used it on their blogs as well.
I created the plugin and the main classes and you can see how it all looks live on WordPress in the following examples:
If you have firebug installed you can play with CSS as much as you want. There are a lot of styling opportunities. Please send your feedback and ideas!

Looks great from the screenshot. However, the demo links do not appear to work.
