WP Digg This plugin released

Yesterday, Wordpress Optimization Guide hit the front page of Digg and I needed a plugin to selectively show Digg button so I mashed up a new pluginĀ  to handle the occasion. I called it WP Digg This, and it allows you to select articles you want to show Digg button on, simply by adding a custom field to the post with key 'digg' and value '1'. Very simple and it works. This is much better then showing Digg button on all pages of your site.

Insights: YouTube, Google Maps, Flickr Wordpress plugin

Insights: YouTube, Google Maps, Flickr Wordpress plugin
Today, Insights for WordPress plugin is seeing the light of the day, in my opinion the most useful WordPress plugin I created until now. The plugin fills an empty space in the productivity sector of WordPress blogs (read my article on "dogfooding wordpress plugins").Insights will, I am sure, change the way you write your blog posts forever. More information on Insights page. Bonus plugin I am also releasing one fun plugin today, WP Figlet, the ASCII art plugin. Enjoy!

Insights Plugin features Flickr, Youtube, Google.. All in one!

Insights Plugin features Flickr, Youtube, Google.. All in one!
Today I am announcing two new WordPress plugins I have been busy with lately. They both carry a pretty special personal note to a blog. First one is called WP Figlet and basically what it does is allow you to draw ASCII Art. Like this: [ascii font="straight.flf" ]WordPress Rocks![/ascii] Now this is and isn't cool (I guess it depends what year you were born) but I thought there is something that can be made out of it. Dogfooding WordPress plugins

Dogfooding WordPress plugins
Dogfooding or 'eating one's own dog food' is a term used for a company that is confident in it's own product (if it was a dog food they would feed their own dog with it). I thought it is a rather good term and describes why I started writing WordPress plugins. I needed a certain functionality and it was not going to be available until I personally made it - and that is how most of my plugins came to life.
