I recently came up several sites that use Amazing Grace WordPress theme and I was happy to see them. Out of curiosity I have then searched on Google to find out about other blogs using the theme.
And I’ve came across blogs about Africa, politics, pets, personal blogs, travel blogs. It is really a great way to find interesting blogs.
Here is a list of some of the cool modifications to the theme I have seen:
- Eco-sentiers : Nice date plaques which I now use on my theme as well. Interesting modifications of headers on the sidebar
- ThemeLib : They got a good modification of the footer.
- Mom’s Jorunal : Few nice modification including comment box.
- Asaaf Avni Unplugged : Not actually modified but I ran onto an interesting article about ‘Social traveling’
- African Roots Foundation : Has a great implementation of their beautiful logo.
- Pretorium : Brazilian blog using blue variant of Amazing Grace. Looking great.

Hi Vladimir,
The Amazing Grace is simply the best theme I found in the wordpress.org directory. I want to customize the images on the header and put some pictures relactioned with my blog.
Should you tell me how?

Hi Vladimir,
I love the theme, but for some reason the two sidebars are showing at the bottom of my page and not on the sides like they should! Do you know why this is happening?

Hello Vladimir,
I thought you might be interested in checking out the changes I made to your Amazing Grace theme. It’s at: http://katsturtz.com/katblog
Thanks again for creating such a wonderfully versatile, great looking and efficient free theme. I like it so much that after many weeks of trying to find a suitable theme for our catering business, I’ve decided to just adapt this one for it, too.
In case other WordPress newbies are reading this, I was able to recolor and make some design changes (not counting plugins and widgets) myself. Was a bit of a learning curve struggle at times, but I’ve learned so much in the process. I should say thanks, too, to Jon at http://www.moongrabber.com/ , another Amazing Grace user for his help with one of the design elements.
Three cheers for you Vladimir! Thanks.

Thanks Vladimir, I love the theme! I am working on customizing it for my site. How do I put my own pictures in the header and keep them in the cool photograph design you have? Do I need to delve into photoshop for that?
Thanks!

Hi Vladimir
I would like to thank you for this perfect theme. I made some little changes in it and till last week I’m using it on my pages. It’s little ironic that I finished customization of the theme one day before new release
OK, lets continue with 2.0 modifications

These sites show the versatility of Amazing Grace.
I am very satisified with your theme.
I hesitate to upgrade to version 2.0 because 1) I’m satisifed with the installed version. 2) I’m not up to changing the code modifications I made for plugins and tracking purposes. We’ll see.
As good as the theme is, I really appreciate the tips that you are willing to give your readers. This is almost as good as the theme itself.
Blessings upon you and may you have continued prosperity in all your endeavors.

Vladamir - You rock!

Easy. Just grab version v2.0 of the theme, out today. It features many enchantments as well as Gravatar support.

Jon - To answer the second part pf your question, you can change the content of the footer by editing footer.php using the Theme Editor in Wordpress. Hopefully Vladamir will answer our common question re the date panels.
July 6th, 2008 at 4:57
Vladamir,
I would like the menus to have drop down sub menus. When you assign pages to parent pages they don’t show up in menu. How can this be implemented? You would think WP team would build this feature in.

How can we use the date plaques as well and change the footer you referenced as well? thanks

Hi Vladamir,
Nice changes. I am currently working on using the Amazing Grace theme for a site that is built on Joomla!, and would like to implement the date panels as you have done. Can you explain how you did this?
