While the author obviously had spent enormous amount of energy to critically review the movie from another perspective I think he is missing an important message. The message of the movie is a positive and optimistic one. It gives you the push you need to make your day a better one. Newton didn't mind an apple falling on his head and hurting him. It was the idea that he got of it that was important and led to one of the most important scientific discoveries. So in a sense, yes, I accept the criticism but on the other hand I insist on the movie giving a very important message that does not have so much to do with it's actors or the story. In my opinion still a worthy watch.

Thanks Jason, it is worthwhile to see the other side of the story. It's hardest for those first trying it, but as global consciousness becomes aware of it, it gets progressively easier to learn, as with some kind of magic. Same is with driving or piloting. In near future we all will be pilots of our flying cars.

Yes Andy that's exactly what I was pointing out. Take any sport for example. short story even shorter: for thousands of years people tried to break the 4 minute mile on foot, greeks, romans, nazis all failed. When finally, one person called Roger Bannister decided that it was possible and in 1954 he did it! strangely, the year after, 7 people in the same event ran the mile in under 4 minutes... did the human race suddenly evolve in that one year?you only need one person to prove the impossible to make it possible for others...

The more people know about a thing it becomes easier and more understandable.

that's so true, I read a sci-fi book once that explored this concept really well, typically I can't remember the title or author! basically, many billions of intelligent machines only had to figure out that worm holes were possible for them to make one.

another story I use to motivate people uses a similar premise.<br
