Yahoo News Feed allows the news from your site to appear automatically in Yahoo Search Results as news items.
Official Yahoo information:
Display news information directly in Yahoo! Search. Add code to indicate to Yahoo! that a news story on your page, and when we next crawl your site, we'll take care of the rest. From your markup, we’ll be able to extract structured data from your site and render it automatically in an enhanced result in search results.
* Types of content permitted: news articles and opinion pieces with optional images.
* How soon after I add my markup will I see my enhanced result appear? Assuming your markup is correct, your enhanced result will appear after Yahoo! recrawls your page; this can take between a few days and a few weeks depending on your site.
Generated news feed is in NewsML1.2 format, as specified on Yahoo! Search Monkey develop page.

Installation & Usage
- Upload the whole plugin folder to your /wp-content/plugins/ folder.
- Go to the Plugins page and activate the plugin.
- Use the Options page to change your options
- Submit your news feed using Yahoo SiteExplorer.

can i choose which category news feed i want to show?
because i have automotive blog, so i do not want to show any actor or others news in my site.

Can this plugin still work? The yahoo site explorer no longer exists.
Using the yahoo news feed plugin but it doesnt seem to be updating the xml file automaitcally. Do you know why this would be happening?

in my yahoo news feed i have the following line: " "
i didnt find any catalog.xml there. i allready created the dtd directory (even with 777 permisions) and i regenerate the feed. Still nothing...

I tried it and noticed that the dtd/catalog.xml don't exist
and nothing gets written to the sitemap
Is the plugin supposed to create that folder and file as well or should I?

Same with it. I have created empty yahoo-news.xml with 777 and re-saved options. After it, everything works fine.

Are you trying to use your mobile phone deals as yahoo news ?
Try saving the options, that should trigger the file creation.
Seems a very nice plugin.
I've installed it right now, activated, but i'm also getting a 404 error, as the xml file does not created.
My blog is installed at the root folder though. I'll check it out to see if i'm doing something wrong.

my site installed in a sub folder, xml file is not created, shows 404 page, i have created a blank page and given permission 775 but not working at all
