Over the years I have tried a lot of SEO plugins, including:

    - WordPress SEO By Yoast
    - All In One SEO Pack
    - HeadSpace2 SEO

Far and away the best is Yoast’s plugin.

We use it on our site, How To WordPress 2.0, and highly recommend it to all of our readers and clients. It is on our list of Most Recommended Plugins For Every Blog (http://htwp2.com/recommended-wordpress-plugins-for-every-blog/), and is, amazingly, 100% free at the WordPress Repository.

You can’t beat the features included in this plugin and Joost (Yoast) is constantly updating and improving it. Plus, he has created complimentary plugins that extend its functionality even further. His WordPress SEO News plugin adds Google News XML Sitemap capabilities and his Video SEO plugin is an absolute must for anyone using videos on their site.

Over on http://www.codedevelopr.com I have setup custom meta fields into my theme that allow me to set Keywords, Title, Description, and Twitter hashtags from my edit post page, this works really well as having a ton of plugin is not good for performance, I try to build all the functionality I can into my themes to cut down on plugin usage.

For me, i use as less plugins as possible. There aren't many well-coded plugins.

    seo by yoast
    askimet
    postmash

I use the above plugins for my site:http://www.toppressurewasherreviews.org/

SEO Ultimate, SEO Smart Links and SEO Friendly images.

Can't go wrong with that trio in my view and I really think I've tested just about every one there is!

For those of you using Yoast SEO (hmm, I thought it was called WordPress SEO?) be sure to check your canonical urls are ok as I had problems with mine (http://wpbugs.com/2012/05/yoast-seo-and-nextgen-canonical-issue/).

Also, I use a translation plugin and Yoast SEO doesn't include the translated pages in the site maps where-as Google XML Sitemaps does.

Vladimir, as the site linked to in this comment isn't even built in WordPress and is for some Chinese tools site, it must be spam and probably worth deleting!

    Google Analytics for WordPress

    Google XML Sitemaps

    Login LockDown

    Quantcast Quantifier

    Relevanssi

    WP Super Cache

One more plugin to list because so many are going from All in One SEO to Yoast. The SEO Data Transporter works great for importing the All in One SEO data to Yoast SEO.

Just downloaded this morning for a new site the Google XML Sitemap plugin. I used to use the All in One SEO plugin but now only use Yoast SEO plugin. For client websites I use the CMS Dashboard to customize and brand the CMS as my own. Simple Facebook Comments For WordPress has become a favorite of mine too. I'm kind of a plugin junkie I guess. I just created a dog forum website using Mingle and BuddyPress combined. Mingle's support is definitely lacking though.

Great idea for a post. I'm anxious to see more of people's favorite WordPress plugins.

I used to use All In One SEO but have recently started using Yoast's WordPress SEO plugin and am very pleased with it.

Akismet is another thing I always use as well.

Others would depend on the site purpose and requirements.

    1) All in one SEO pack - quick setup, easy to handle, mostly it has all I need
(today, you can find a lot of WP themes that already have all you need for SEO,
with even better features then All in one SEO pack plugin has..
e.g. Studiopress, Thesis.. etc.. have excellent SEO features.)
    2) Link juice keeper - just install and enjoy - very useful
